How to Play WordFlies
WordFlies is a word-finding puzzle game similar to the popular Spelling Bee. Form words using the letters in the honeycomb pattern - each word must include the center letter!
Game Elements
Center Letter
The yellow letter in the center is required for every word.
All words must contain this letter.
Outer Letters
The grey letters around the center can be used in any combination.
You can use each letter multiple times in a word.
How to Form Words
Click or tap on letters to select them and form words. You can also drag between letters.
Words must be at least 4 letters long and include the center letter.
Press Enter or tap the Submit button to submit your word.
How to Score
- 4-letter words 1 point
- 5-letter words 2 points
- 6-letter words 3 points
- 7-letter words 4 points
- Pangram (using all letters) +5 bonus points

Reveals the first two letters of a word you haven't found yet

Ranks and Goals
The game tracks your progress with ranks:
- Beginner: 0% of points
- Good: 10% of possible points
- Impressive: 25% of possible points
- Excellent: 40% of possible points
- Genius: 60% of possible points
- Master: 80% of possible points

Tips & Tricks
- Always focus on the center letter since it must be in every word
- Look for common prefixes and suffixes
- Try rearranging letters mentally to see new combinations
- Use the Shuffle button when you're stuck
- The Hint button can point you in the right direction
- Pangrams (words that use all 7 letters) are rare but worth extra points
